OUR PARTNERS
Hongyun Art
We offer traditional forms of art like drawing and painting and strive to provide an environment where students work as teams on projects and can learn to work out creative differences, lead teams on experimental projects, and ultimately learn to express their creativity fearlessly. These skills are fundamental to success in almost every endeavor a student may take on and our curriculum and projects are designed to challenge students to always push for improvement in these and other areas.
Our goal is to create creative, outgoing individuals that are able to work well with others, come up with and share great ideas, and most importantly be fearless in executing their ideas. We believe in "doing" more than we believing in talking. We believe in rolling up our sleeves, working hard, and working together to create wonderful creative projects that just aren't possible working alone at a canvas. Everything we do embodies these principles.

Maker Nexus
Maker Nexus is a registered California non profit corporation and we have 501(c)3 status. We vow to be a transparent organization, sharing everything from our financial plans and position, to our makerspace plans. We believe our maker members should know where their money goes, and have a say in how their monthly membership dues are being used.

But Maker Nexus is more than just a makerspace - we are a resource for makers everywhere. We maintain a public wiki that offers general information about equipment, makerspaces in other areas, resources for supplies and tools, and more. It is growing as crowd sourced knowledge from the maker community is added.

Starting a new makerspace is hard work. We have found resources scattered around the internet, but in some cases we have had to make things up ourselves. We aim to change that by sharing what we have with the world. Our wiki hosts a section of resources specifically for groups that want to create their own makerspace. As we create classes and infrastructure we will release what we create under a Creative Commons license so that others can build upon our work. We want to become a catalyst for the creation of makerspaces all over the world
