Hey everyone!

As we get ready for our delivery day tomorrow, Monday 3/30 (ENDED), there are a few things we wanted to mention. If you want someone to deliver your parts for you or if you want someone to pick up filament for you, please fill out this form. If you are willing to drive yourself, contact us for Audrey’s address and drop off your parts at Audrey’s doorstep before 4pm. Don’t worry if you aren’t able to get any parts created by tomorrow; we’ll have future delivery dates!

Good news!! We’ve received some of the filament that we ordered. If you’ve already indicated that you need filament via the linked form above, you’ll receive it on Monday. If you haven’t done so yet but need filament, please fill out the form ASAP and we’ll let you know when more filament comes in.

For volunteer drivers: on the delivery spreadsheet, we’ve added a column indicating whether someone requested filament. Audrey will have the filament out on her doorstep before 11am tomorrow labeled with the name of the requester to whom the filament should be delivered.

If you haven’t already, please read the parts packaging/handling instructions in the FAQ. We also ask you to add the total # of parts, which makes doing inventory easier.

Maker Nexus has been working closely with the Valley Medical Center, and there are several important updates concerning 3d printing frames.

  1. We are switching to the Maker Nexus modified RC3 frame design. This design centers the mounting pins for the visor to prevent particles from entering through the mounting holes of the visor. To get the STL, right click the correct link and click Save As.

    1. Version for PETG:

  1. Version for PLA and ABS:

These files only include the top frame, so make sure to still print the original lower reinforcement, the file for which can be found on the Prusa website.

  1. PLA and ABS frames have been approved. Using PETG is still preferred but not essential.

  2. As previously stated, make sure you are printing with a MINIMUM of 3 perimeters so that your parts can be used.

  3. It is preferable, but not required to print frames at 100% infill.
