4/8 update

Hey everyone!
As we approach our next delivery day, Friday 4/10 there are a few major developments that will impact our operations. The effort led by Maker Nexus has established an injection-molding supply chain for producing the previously 3d printed headbands. Your effort has been essential to keep hospitals supplied with PPE while tooling was being made, and we can not thank everyone enough!
However, our efforts are far from over. Because of the geometric complexity of the bottom reinforcements, they will still need to be 3d printed. To keep up with injection molding production of headbands, we need everyone to immediately switch to producing as many bottom reinforcements as possible. If you have produced headbands, they will still be used and should be delivered as usual.
Just a reminder, if you’d like for someone to deliver your parts to Audrey’s home in Cupertino on Friday, please fill out this form. We have some filament (1.75mm PLA) coming in, so please fill out the same form if you are running out of filament. We’ll try to get the filament to you within the next couple of days.
Again, if you are willing/able to sew cloth masks or hospital scrubs, we’ll be collecting those too since Maker Nexus is supplying them to homeless shelters. Here’s the link to MN’s cloth mask wiki. Here’s the link to the hospital scrub wiki. Please spread the word about sewn masks/scrubs to anyone who might be interested!
If you know someone who’s interested in what we’re doing, have them fill out this form to be added to our mailing list.
Take care,
Audrey & Bogdan
